MKX handled this very well. If you quit an online match your head would explode and it would say "Quitality" on the screen. It was always funny to see and felt rewarding. The difference here is UFC deals in ranked points not just wins. If it was solely based on wins no problem. But if someone wants to add to their knockout stat or sub stat it becomes very annoying.

Dude, people just gave you a million reasons. Anyone against anti-quit measures is likely doing some rage quitting themselves. Martial’s suggestion is one of the funniest things I’ve heard. In terms of practicality, I think a 10 minute ban is the best solution. Even if it is an accidental DNF. In that case, your internet is probably down and you need about ten minutes anyway.

The main thing that can stop quitting on KOs is making the fight end immediately after flooring them. Even with one hit knockouts an opponent has just enough time to quit out.

A combination of all these measures would likely curb quitting a considerable amount.

P.S. I’m glad to see Haz has changed his pro-rage quit stance.

10-minute bans sound best. That way no matter what you do (e.g. turn the game off, reset the console, etc.) the punishment is not negated. It's simple too.

The thing that doesn't sit well with me is victims of DDOS or lag switch being punished even more than already losing a lot of points. If you got the same number of points that you would get for a sub/KO when someone quits then I wouldn't care. We don't see the breakdown but I'm sure you get less if they quit right now.

Quitting is so bad in quick match, I try to have fun with it, the second I complete a submission or get a tko I will quit, so I beat you in the fight and beat you in getting the heck out of there as quickly as possible, the messages I get are hilarious

A 10-minute van is fine... for a first time offends. If it’s a regular occurrence then it should be more severe. Each time you quit the ban should be longer.

Regardless of punishment, it should always in a submission victory.
