Thanks for your patience.
The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
"Additionally the manual controls absolutely convinced me."
Then two sentences later they say this:
"Nevertheless I think it's a pity that the conventional manual controls have been cancelled from the game, at least in this early version we've played."
??? I'm confused. Anyway, if this game doesn't have 100% manual passing and shooting ala FIFA 08, I won't be buying it. FIFA's controls have spoiled me forever.

Konami and PES are almost dead to me. I used to be the biggest fanboy, but after PES 2008, this game needs amazing reviews for me to even think about getting it. The graphics are still horrible and the gameplay is falling behind.
As with most everyone else...PES is dead to me. After FIFA08, and especially EURO2008...I am looking forward to FIFA only this year.
Me too.
PES2008 probably turned off alot of gamers because of how bad it was. They sped up the game play, crippled the online mode (which there was NOTHING wrong with in the previous game) and passed it off as a new release.
Whats going to be different this year? The graphics still look craptacular, and the article spent more time slobbing at the knob of Messi than it did talking about the game.
With Be A Pro in FIFA to keep me busy between my season and my normal ranked matches, I just dont see how PES is going to be worth buying for me.
me too.. I been doing that since FIFA became playable again..
last year.. i must admitt.. I only playe PES with friends though because that's the series I hooked them on and they are stubborn to try FIFA now.. lol but I liked FIFA more than PES last year for the first time. but it wasn't hard to beat PES 2008 360/PS3.
I'm hoping since messi is on the cover that PES will actually be agood again.
I hope seabass makes the gameplay more like PES5/WE9 again.

So FIFA was a steaming pile of crap for years, and PES is bad for one year, and everyone is writing it off for good?
