      Re: PES 2010 Team List

Looks like a bunch of new national teams, but club-wise more or less the sames as 09. I wish they added some more 'create-a-team' spots. Why not add 100 spots, and let the editors out there do the work? And like you said, hopefully they can be included in ML, otherwise they're basically worthless.

Updated the unlicensed "Other Club" teams list in the first post, based on Paulinho's investigation over at PESFan - LINK

I'd say he's probably correct on most/all of them, based purely on the position in which they were listed in the WE Blog page (see link in first post), which i'd assume is based on the club's locations in the PES 2010 menus.

Any idea on how the league structure in ML is gonna work in PES 2010? ie: number leagues/divisions/clubs etc.

Meanwhile, i'm loving the inclusion of so many new national teams. I'm a little disappointed India isn't among the 16 Asian nations...we've already qualified for the 2011 Asian Cup (seriously though, we have). Also i personally would've liked to have seen New Zealand, but i won't miss them.

            Re: PES 2010 Team List

I've seen a couple ML preview videos and none of them mentioned anything about the league structure, so I'm assuming it'll be the same as last year, especially since it looks like the number of club teams will be the same.

5th post from the bottom of this preview insinuates that 5 leagues will be in the ML instead of the standard 4.

And I don't know where I read this but still only one second division in the league you play. I don't believe the other 3-4 leagues will have lower divisions.

I thought I read the lower division will be 20 teams.

Though you have to love the number of international teams in the game. Ya they aren't all licenses or named but that will be addressed by the community.

                Still no San Marino?

                  Re: PES 2010 Team List

I remember reading in the first of those playthrough threads at PESFan (LINK) about this thing the guy mentioned:

After setting up how I wanted the league to be formatted (unfortunately there’s still no third division), i.e. 20 teams, goal difference before head to head, the cup not featuring two legs, that sort of thing, I was presented with my given sponsors for the coming season.

To me that suggests we can change the number of teams per league...i tried to confirm with the thread creator if that is an option but no response yet.

I do like that we can change the cup to single legs, but there better be an option to combine the domestic D1 and D2 cups into one big cup instead. My preference is two divisions of 16 teams each, so 32 teams compete for the domestic cup (meaning no byes for any team)...hopefully i'll be able to make that happen in 2010.

                    Re: PES 2010 Team List

Been reading through that PESFan thread abar22 linked to and found some info on ML by the thread creator:

                    Regarding the ML Structure:

5 leagues - English League, Spanish League, Italian League, Eredivise and Ligue 1
The league you pick has a Division 2, which is filled with teams from 'Other Teams A'

Teams A-R can be put into any league apart from Eredivise and Ligue 1, as these are fully licensed.

Qualification for European competition is pretty much the same as the old games. The top 4 teams from each league go into the Champions League with the next few teams and cup winners going into the Europa League. The remaining spaces in both competitions are filled up with sides from 'Other Teams A' who aren't in any other leagues.

This could all change when the final version comes out as team licenses are still being sorted out, as there are several 'placeholder' teams in the game currently. The Champions League stuff isn't in this game at the moment as license and graphics mumbo jumbo is still being sorted out by UEFA.

From what i understand, the term "Other Teams A" refers to all club teams not belonging to an in-game league. "Other Teams B", or as referred to above "Teams A - R", refers to all 18 of the blank teams...so the bolded part above means we can add the blank teams to ML!!!

Also the following part reveals D2 is 18 teams...

Alas, for Lacashire Claret, Wolves, and 'Middlebrook' weren’t so fortunate, as they finished 18th 19th and 20th, and waddled off in failure to join the [new] 18-team D2 league. Unlucky, boys.

...but i'm still hopeful we can edit the number of teams per league/division to our liking. Although i am liking what i've read so far.

According to that same thread at PESFan:

Yeah, teams from D-2 were in the cup, but not all of them. I assume teams in D-1 don't have to play the early stages of the domestic cup the same way Premiership teams don't come into the FA Cup until round 3.

                      Sounds promising!

Here's an exciting video showing the user scrolling through the Other Teams A section, created by dragonskin at PESFan (LINK):

                        <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ZNFdmLJekgU&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&featur e=player_embedded&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ZNFdmLJekgU&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&featur e=player_embedded&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

From that video, it appears Rosenborg, Unirea and Shakhtar Donetsk are all licensed.
