Difficulty Level for realism?

Suggestion request: What is the best difficulty level to use for realism? I want the players to play according to their ratings. I believe I'm playing on "regular" right now, and I have yet to lose a game no matter what team I use. All my games have been "cursor lock" as well.

I just played as Russia vs England and defeated them 2-1 (England scored with 1 second left in the 2nd). Does anyone know what the difficulty levels actually do? Which is the "even" play (would use this for coach mode), etc...

professional -2 speed. you can still win with bad teams, but it's challenging enough without feeling like the CPU is cheating

This is a ridiculous question as the definition of SIM is subjective.

I don't believe it is a ridiculous question. Would you play the game on rookie? If not, why not then? Is it too easy? Are YOUR players much faster than the CPU even though you have a lower end team, playing a world class team? If all your players are rated 50 or less in speed, against a team of 80+ in speed, yet you beat them to the ball every time, is that realistic to you? If so, then I guess it is subjective. But it's not a ridiculous question to want to get the most out of this game by asking for suggestions.

And the definition of SIM is to play as close to "real" life as possible.

When someone asks a question on these forums, it's assumed it's a "suggestion" request. Don't read more into than there is. I changed the original post just to satisfy you. Is that okay? (that was a question, not a suggestion) If you have nothing worthwhile to contribute, then please don't respond.

No need to lock the thread, apologies if this came across as anything other than constructive criticism. My intent wasn't to bash, simply my opinion when subjective questions are posed.

Personally, SIM for me at my current skill set is difficulty at normal and speed at -2.

Go for Professional at -1 or -2 speed (whichever you find more realistic for Football pace).
