I take that back, the shots are fast enough ... it's the keepers float-jumping that is weird.

It's because their explosive power stat is way too low. The explosive power stat governs how quickly your player will perform an animation. Give a player 99 explosive power and try dribbling with them without the sprint button held down. They become vastly more agile. This has nothing to do with their with their speed or acceleration though. Its because they take fewer animation frames to do everything.

In Pes 15 the animation frames to do everything which essentially makes explosive power the most important stat because it governs all aspects of your player's play on the pitch. When defending, if the opponent makes a move, you can react to them easier because your defender takes fewer animation frames per turn. It also effect goalkeepers, allowing them to make saves in fewer animation frames, increasing their reaction time to shots.

I am actually right back into this game and loving it, but since I've been playing so much, one thing has come up that is driving me crazy, maybe other people have seen it.

When the ball is rolling toward a touchline and you chase it down, its like your player falls limp or keeps traversing in the same direction just running, making no attempt whatsoever to keep the ball in.

I havent pinpointed whether its when he has a foot over the line or just on the line, but ive conceded quite a few corners and throw ins, when my player clearly could have made the play.

Anyone else seeing this?

not that long ago Konami use to have the MLS licenses back before the league took off really and basically had it's own MLS game. It would be nice if Konami tried to get that back again as I think that would be cool.

I haven't read the whole thread yet.. just the OP and I will say this... despite the lack of option files and licenses and online play options etc. this game I will agree with the OP is the best sports game. I actually consider it the best game on xbone because I still have it and still play it. I personally like this and NBA2K15 second best. I have Xbone so I don't play MLB but for me this game and NBA2k15 are the most realistic and best sports games you can buy on xbone for sure.

If they fix some of the issues with this game and get a license to the MLS that would be great for this game. I still want this game to be addicting online though in the future or have better servers. if it can't have option files and the license it needs something else to be big like online play or lots of ton extra editing like stadium creator and such. and one thing I thought of is for konami to copy NBA2k15 my park mode have that with this game with a futsal park or something. Can you imagine having your own created player in PES online and being able to play in 2 v 2 or 3 v 3 or 5 v 5 matches on mini fields or indoor soccer even? I think something like this should be added since they don't have options file and licenses... most important is I wish PES had online club mode like FIFA at least. I think this game would be the best sports game EVER with your own created players like FIFA club has.

something the OP mentioned is playing on -2 game speed.. weird I never tried that actually and never even thought to lower the speed as I have been playing on default since release. I'm gong to try that though so thanks.

Fellow OS brethren, I wanted to seek out your professional opinions regarding PES. I am having an absolute blast with the demo and am thinking about taking the leap and getting the retail version. I'm really enjoying playing on Superstar level at 1 or manual passing and 9 minute halves...The amount of diversity you get from game to game is freakin' awesome.

I just wanted to confirm if the retail version is better than the demo version b/c in my past experience, I tried out FIFA 15 demo and thought it was a great effort by EA and decided to take the leap, but then the retail version let me down (as usual, I was having a blast w/ it for the first week and the luster diminished...but I digress)...

Any thoughts would be great fellas! Cheers!

Im in agreement with everything you said!! that -2 game speed really makes the game feel perfect. (IMO)

Team Update:

I just made the change to Top Player and this feels like a completely different game altogether.

My players really suck. LOL

The difference in player ability from Professional to Top Player really stands out. On professional I was running right by everyone with my 20-year-old AMF and now he just gets bodied off the ball (he needs to get in the weight room LOL)

My passes are really awful mostly due to my players skill level UGH I need to do some soul searching as now it looks like it will be a struggle to come up with goals.

Well, the good news is my team is young and they should improve...but the passing is horrendous especially close passes...need to do something about that...like ASAP

Anyway Top Player is very challenging for me, I don't feel cheesed at all (which is what I love about this game) I just feel liek It's going to be a long couple years until this team gets good enough. At the moment, im #1 in standings mostly due to the fact I was playing on the lower difficulties but I'm willing to bet I finish the season way lower than that as my scoring might plummet.
