I thought Lex was a better "good guy" then a bad guy. By the time he left the show I was ready for it. Don't get me wrong, I liked the character, but they made him so likable that the transition to "full evil" didn't appeal to me, regardless of what had to be. I don't know what they were trying to achieve with Lionel. Yeah I know the storyline, the new lease on life after the cancer cure, but he should have remained totally evil.

In short (IMO), the exit of both Luthers had little to do with Smallville's problems. The filler episodes were present in all seasons. Ten seasons and over 200 episodes was too much.

They had some great episodes, some great chemistry, some great characters, but it fell short of being a great show.

Yes, one of the best TV theme songs ever.

And is Erica Durance not the sexiest Lois Lane ever?

Re: Smallville

My dad and I used to watch this show together when I was in high school. I loved the first 2 seasons of it (maybe 3, can't remember), but I stopped watching once I got to college. I caught a few episodes of later seasons but never got a chance to get back into it.

Those first few seasons were really great though.

Indeed, her acting was actually pretty good for this show I thought. Really nailed down the Lois Lane character they seemed to be looking for.

I loved what they did with the Lex character besides the ending that confused me some(i'll avoid talking about it not in spoilers just to help out anyone who hasn't seen it) and well that whole Lex/Lana storyline.

There were some filler episodes that were kind of meh, but it never bothered me as I just loved the show that much. Have all the seasons besides about 2 later on, will give it another run through soon maybe over the summer.

No doubt about it. Some of my favorite episodes of the series had Lois in them. Erica and Tom welling had such great chemistry.

Well just got past season 1 and I must say if I was watching it on tv season to season I would of been so pissed at that season finally. On episode 4-5 of season 2 now and I think lex will turn this season. He seems to become more distant each episode it seems. Also Lana seems
