I think they changed the originals series title to Tales of the New Teen Titans around issue 40 or so to set up moving the series to fancy Baxter Paper that could only be bought in specialty stores and not on newsstands. So around issue 45ish of “Tales” their were 2 Teen Titans comics being published and you can really tell when you go back that 45-59 were filler issues until Tales started reprinting the Teen Titan from the Baxter paper, comic shop only series. The stories are still fine but you can tell they weren’t going to do too much in the way of character development since this was kind of the stepchild series.

I digress. Just read books :-)
I have fond memories of the X-Men/Teen Titans crossover in the early 80s. Can't go wrong with Darkseid attempting to resurrect Dark Phoenix. (This was before Jean Grey got resurrected every 6 months or so.)

Re: Comic Book Fans....

I started reading Batman: White Knight, and last night I tweeted about how good it was.

This morning the guy that wrote and illustrated it, Sean Murphy, liked my tweet.

Might honestly be the closest I've had to a celebrity interaction on Twitter and it was so cool lol.

Re: Comic Book Fans....

I recently learned that there is a new series "Raven" and "Raven: Daughter of Darkness". So, I finally took a plunge into what I said I was going to do months ago about getting into comics.

I read the short run of "Raven" and the followup "Raven Daughter of Darkness", and I'm really enjoying them. Raven is one of my favorite comic book heroes, and I love seeing her in this quasi superhero/normal teenager state. Unfortunately I guess this is just a limited run? Not really sure how comics work in this regard, but I hope she gets more of her own stories like this.

Most of the time, if there's a title after the name (Raven: Daughter of Darkness), it's a limited run or a miniseries.

Dang that sucks. What about the "Raven" comic in general? There is a short run of "raven", and then there is "raven daughter of darkness" which takes place just after the original "Raven" run. Does that mean we could see like Raven ____ next?

I think next up for me is either teen Titans or batman beyond.

It depends on how well her comics sell. If the numbers aren't there, then they won't want to dedicate time and resources to a full Raven title.

Thanks!

Good to know that at least there is a chance for a continuation of stories

Re: Comic Book Fans....

Found out today that back in 2015, DC did a series of variant covers for some comics based on movie posters, and they're all incredible.
