Fracture

I saw this movie last night, and it was freakin' awesome. Great ending, very clever movie throughout. Honestly, one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. When this movie hits theaters, you all better see it. Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling were both terrific.

Re: Fracture

This movie looks great. Gosling is one of the better young actors in Hollywood, if not the best. And Hopkins looks to be his creepy self as usual.

I'll probably go to see this sometime next weekend.

Re: Fracture

Just watched this tonight and liked it a lot. Thought it was well-written and solid all around. Lots of potential to leave holes in the plot but it was handled well.

Anthony Hopkins is great as always. Ryan Gosling continues to prove his worth to me. I haven't been disappointed by a performance. Great young actor.

The ending was very good. It avoided the twist type ending that I expected. Instead, it delivered by using intelligence and awareness of the protagonist to solve the dilemma. The only disappointing thing (especially in this age of movies) is the audience's inability to solve the dilemma on their own. We are pretty much left out of it and serve mostly as spectators as Gosling's character figures everything out.

Still a good movie. Recommended for those that like watching Hopkins play a sick man with zero morals.

Re: Fracture

Not to brag or anything, but I figured out what Hopkins did with the weapon right when it happened. They show him walking towards it when the detective is kneeling over the body.

You are right. They do. I remember the scene very well. I guess I never thought that he had made the switch before hand.
