Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread

Went to see Wiz/Snoop at Sunfest last night. It was actually really good.

Wiz was awesome, did a nice mix of songs from all his mixtapes, etc. His Kush & OJ band with him made it awesome imo, gave the songs a different flair then the normal. Snoop was good at the beginning with some of his big songs, then it just was meh.

R.I.P. Adam "MCA" Yauch

Damn, homie was only ****ing 47 yrs. old. Sad that another legendary group will likely end because a members untimely demise. These dudes paved away that Eminem used to become what he is today. May MCA find peace and happiness in the afterlife. Sad day, man.

Don't really care for most rap and hip hop, but even I liked the Beastie Boys. Such a sad day in the music world . RIP MCA

Speaking of which, Strange Clouds isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. It's nothing great but I've been getting some decent play out of it. One thing is for sure though - I can't wait for Big Ghost to review it.
Say what you want about him being mainstream and what not, but I love B.o.B. It's cool to see a guy that's a pretty solid rapper that can sing as well as he can and make some cool acoustic songs.

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread

alright i need more suggestions lol, been listening to action bronson and i like how he intertwines hip hop with motown, I'm not even a motown fan but the combination works for me, so what other artists pull this off?

Dude flat out admitted that since he had tore his Achilles (or ACL, I forgot which one) and was stuck in the house he was losing his mind and got bored, so he made the infamous video that led to this…
