Saw Beauty and The Beast. Was underwhelmed. Not a huge Emma Watson fan. The lip syncing was terrible. The casting for Gaston was suspect (though really like him in the 3 Musketeers). The Beast I thought was "dingy" looking and didn't really bring a "wow" effect. Maybe if he was larger, but I think sometimes the camera wasn't on him long enough in certain scenes. The "Be Our Guest" scene was like a bad LSD trip and thought the CGI for the candlestick and clock were pretty subpar. Maybe I saw the animated version too many times with my kids and this just didn't meet up to it.

Yeah, you're probably right- I was being generous.

On the whole I enjoyed the movie as a fan of the series.

That said. I have no idea what they were doing with the story and the ability to transition to the original trilogy. I won't ruin anything, but safe to say they have punched huge holes in their own lore and have left a lot of work to get from where this movie ended to where Aliens begins.

Going to see this as well. So this is taking place between Alien and Aliens?

Interesting.

I thought it was still a prequel to Alien?

No sorry that was a typo. Not Aliens, but Alien. This is a part of a prequel trilogy.

Memento was okay. I was sad when my theory about him faking his condition went out the window at the end tho.

Pulp Fiction was pretty friggin amazing though. Samuel L. Jackson was fantastic. Pretty sick little twist there at the end. I felt for ole Marsellus in that last act though. You just don't ever imagine something like that happening to yourself, poor fella.

Any suggestions for me? I've got an off day tomorrow and I could use a flick.

Thx for spoiling memento for me and not using spoiler tags. Smh

Saw Alien Covenant with the wife. We enjoyed it. Like the way they tied Prometheus back into the movie. Fassenbender was excellent in his role.

Solid addition to the Alien franchise

It didn't spoil anything. There is never a reason for you to think he's faking his condition (outrageous speculation sure, but that would have been a cop-out ending). You're still good.

So, to be clear, he absolutely has a short-term memory loss condition lol.
