Alita was great. A solid 8/10 for me.

I too saw it in 3D, and I'd recommend others do the same.

Loved this movie. Elsie Fisher was unbelievable and her screen dad was super cool.

I just saw it last night on Amazon Prime.

Was not a fan of Alita, the dialogue was too bad for me to like it but the action was great so its worth it to see it just for that.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?

I saw a double feature in theaters last night of Happy Death Day 2U and How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World. I was entertained by both, with the former finding a creative way to go about making the sequel though it was silly and stupid, and with the latter being a visual feast that got better as it went, capping off the trilogy with a strong ending. Both films had at least one familial moment that choked me up pretty hard. Since they are both sequels, I'd say it's important to see the first of both series' films beforehand (you should also see HTTYD 2, but it's not quite as important or doesn't have quite as many callbacks in that one).

And as normal, I went in avoiding all trailers and previews... and after seeing the trailers/previews for both afterward, I'm once again glad that I avoided them. Cinema is so much more pleasurable of an experience not knowing what you're going to get, even when you're already eager to see that particular film in itself.

Remake of The Bad News Bears. Although at one time I would've called it sacrilegious to remake a Walter Mattheau movie at one point, Billy Bob did a formidable job. The anti-PC makes it. Still get a kick out of BB when he gets the 2nd place trophy. Greg Kinnear plays a good role in the rival smart *** coach. Did a little where are they now research after the movie and was taken back a little to discover the actress who played his daughter died in a car wreck when she was about 20.

I was missing Robin Williams so I watched Patch Adams. Love the movie, and forgot that the person is a real person. Robin is probably the only actor ever to make me cry consistently in his movies.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?

Saw Ralph Breaks the Internet. The final act was my least favorite part of the film, but outside of that I thought it was entertaining, hilarious (predictable jokes didn't give me much glee, but the shock value of others was rather raucous), and has one of the better "best buds" duo in Ralph and Vanellope of all Disney films, and that doesn't let up here. It was weird that the film was kind of lacking a villain, but they found ways to work around that. The commentary about social media in this one was so on point that it upset me just as much as it did in The Emoji Movie. I miss the simpler times.

I also just rewatched Coco as well to get a good cry in. Family moments always get to me, in any film. It's also crazy how much better the cinematography and attention to detail was in this film compared to The Incredibles 2.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?

Just finished watching The Predator (yeah, the newest one).

I'll just keep it short; silly but entertaining.
