Bingo.

If you have Vista, I'd upgrade. If you have XP, I'd probably just stay.

Re: Anyone upgrading to Windows 7?

I was using the release candidate, but I went back to XP. The reason being that while 7 has some great features, it really still offers no real reason to move.

Some of my programs that work perfectly on XP don't work well on 7, and some various other things.

Not worth the move, yet.

Same here. I can't wait.

Yeah, there's probably going to be some hiccups going from XP, but to be fair, XP is almost eight years old now. I'm ready to make the switch, and my computer could use a cleanup anyways so this is a good excuse.

Re: Anyone upgrading to Windows 7?

I have had the final build on my laptop for a little over a month now, and I love it. Very efficient, clean, and fast. If you are running Vista I can't think of one reason to not upgrade. I would upgrade from XP but I know that there's people out there that cling to XP for dear life still.

This is what I am telling my users when they ask me about their home PC. It's also to save me the agony of getting the questions of programs that worked on XP that now doesn't work on 7 and me explaining why I can't and don't want to work after hours on their home PC.

But I am tempted to build a new PC with 7. I built this P4 2.80 ghz beast back in '04. It was a beaut' and top of the line I tell you.

Re: Anyone upgrading to Windows 7?

I've had it on my computer for about a month now. Hasn't given me any problems so far, and it runs much faster than Vista.

I guess the only thing is will your programs run on 7 out of the box?

Program compatibility is almost exactly the same as Vista is now. I haven't run into any programs that didn't run on it.
