Re: Is it time for 'The Simpsons' to 'g'oh'?

The Ned-Marge sexual tension was established early in the series, going back to the most obvious example, which was "A Streetcar Named Marge". But even before then, her admiration/respect for Ned combined with Homer's hate for him (and their opposite nature, Homer vs. Marge as well as Homer vs. Ned) made it an easy thing to see happening at some point in the future. The recent episodes where they had that same tension just reminded me of the old episodes...

Agreed. As long as it makes money which it does and people enjoy it, which they do, why not? It is better than half the crap out there anyway.

As far as me, I stopped watching years ago. I do have the first 9 seasons on DVD though. Classics right there.

I have all the seasons available on DVD. I'm a nut. Been watching since day one. Now every sunday me and the kids sit down and watch the simpsons just before bed.

We always look forward to a new episode. Granted, it may just be the time hangin out with the kids watchin/laughin at the simpsons that makes it great to us.

It's ok now...it's better than family guy. Every once and a while the plots are funny...otherwise it is just a bunch of cheap jokes..like Family Guy..but usually better because it actually has to do with the plot -_-. But the best shows on TV right now are 30 Rock and It's Always Sunny...and The League is getting there I think.

I disagree, The Family Guy is still great. I still watch The Simpsons but don't laugh that much. It's still worth watching though IMO.

True though sometimes I think they push it a little TOO much now. I mean that's really the only main thing that Ned does on the show now except for a quick appearance here and there where he makes a quip and is gone.

I admit the recent episode with Homer being Carl's lackey and Ned/Marge nearly having an affair was well done.

Well, Fox has said it's time to 'g'oh'.

Very sad news

Just watch and see it'll be replaced by Seth McFarlane's Flintstones reboot and Sundays might as well be called Sethday.

"sigh"
