I haven’t noticed any banding , I have been watching it since I picked it up earlier this evening, and I watch the Chiefs game tonight and it looked great. No issues over here thus far.

Yeah that seems like a terrible price for what you're getting. For that price I suggest the NU8000 like Scott said, or the Vizio P series.Both in that price range and both much better.

Thanks to Scott I'm learning about what makes a good TV. Been doing tons of research as well.

Very good for gaming and pretty good for movies. Not great for sports because of the 60hrz panel. But value for the money is good.

But beware of some QC issues with the panel. Lots of reports about banding issues. So you kinda have to play the panel lottery with this one.
