I'm assuming Jack is going to tour soon once his album drops next Tuesday. If he comes your way do whatever you can to make it. I caught him on his Blunderbuss tour and it was awesome. He did a little bit of everything (White Stripes, solo, Dead Weather, covers).

The opening band was Shovels & Rope. They were pretty damn good, too.

I'll be seeing Jack on July 20th here in St. Louis.

Just found out first hand that Foxy Shazam knows how to put on a ****ing show. Them and Larry and his Flask killed it tonight in Omaha.

Just bought tickets today to see Brand New in October.

I haven't heard anything they've put out since Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me, but I saw them play once when they randomly decided to show up in Charlottesville and play a free show and they're really good.

Word. Heard Larry & His Flask got their van/equipment stolen on this run, glad they're still out there doing it.

CM Hooe, consider yourself very lucky. Brand New tickets sell out in seconds. Seems like this recent sale seems to have lasted longer then other ones.

It's amazing how popular BN are. They've definitely crossed over from their main scene into the semi-mainstream. I heard "Jesus Christ" on the radio the other day. I like them, but they're not on a pedestal like so many other people put them on. That first album was perfect, IMO. The rest is good and they pulled off the more mature sound without losing all their support, but I just like the style of Your Favorite Weapon the most.

Re: What concerts have you been to lately?

Just went and saw Motley Crue kick off their farewell tour All Bad Things Must Come to an End Tour.

Let's just say, I am glad they are hanging it up. The show was a mess. 3 songs into it, it started to unravel. First Tommy Lee broke his base drum that led to a 15 minute delay while Mars tried to occupy the fans with a crappy impromptu guitar solo. Then when they got started again, the band wasn't on the same page and had to restart a song because Tommy Lee screwed up. Nikki Sixx screamed a few obscenities at him for not remembering how to play a song they have been doing for 30 years. Then Mar's guitar wasn't working so another delay. Vince forgot the words to a couple songs and appeared to start singing at the wrong part of the intro and it threw everything off. It was really bad.

Alice Cooper opened up for them and he put on a great show though. I had never seen him live before and I was really impressed with his show.

Hopefully Crue gets it together for the sake of all the fans that have spent their hard earned cash on the tickets. Save your money if you haven't bought the tickets yet.
