Finale was a big miss for me.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Example of a show that has run two years too long.

I really only liked seasons 1, 2, and 4 although I didn't watch any episode beyond season 5. Number three was the dismal Savitar season and Cicada (season 5) was about as entertaining as the actual insect.

I'm not trying to be overly critical of a series I know longer watch, just pointing out that it went of the rails earlier than just recently. (IMHO).

Re: The Flash

S9 has been announced as the final season.

A 13 episode run starting in 2023.

Hopefully they finish the series in a big way. This is really the end of the Arrowverse, so we'll see if we could get some big Arrow appearances to wrap it all up.

One positive of a 2023 premiere is that it gives me time to rewatch S1 and 2 before then.

Re: The Flash

I kindly wonder if this show should've taken the Smallville approach and really slow walk it? The dynamic between Lex and Clark was great, that's what could've been with Harrison and Barry as suspicion elevated.

At the time you never knew if the show would last, they had to go big from the start.

The Arrowverse wasn't what it would become. For all you knew, fans from Arrow wouldn't have bothered with Flash and then the shows just done after 1 or 2 seasons.

Even though they lasted longer, a show like Legends of Tomorrow didn't become as big, and Batgirl was a whole other story there too.
