Agreed one hundred percent. It is a classic movie IMO and the show looks amazing. Can't freaking wait. It's like the best of Philip K. Dick combined with it's own unique flavors of awesomeness.

84% on RT; 9.4/10 on IMDB. Anyone see the pilot?

Enjoyed the first episode. Can't say my wife did, haha, but I thought it was good.

It was really good with great production values.

So Ed Harris is a human version of Yul Brynner's WW movie character? They are both called "The Gunslinger" and garbed in black.

Re: Westworld (HBO)

I thought it was really good. Love this sort of thing.

I wonder if someday soon we will discover that some "people" are actually machines as well. I'm thinking employees, of course.

Thought the comment from the head of technology referencing when he first started was foreshadowing. Just my thinking.

But that's other stuff. I loved the direction and cinematography. Characters are interesting too. Some good lower level A list star power too.

I'm not buying that Ed Harris is human. I know he didn't get killed, but in the film, he had the ability to override the weapons. I think he has figured out how to appear human.

This makes a lot of sense since we are seeing the robots behave more human, even if those behaviors are very subtle.

Seems more likely that the Gunslinger is programmed in such a way that the newest install allowed him to realize his position in the world.

Though how he avoids "death" still confuses me, assuming he's a robot.

I think he's a human though. Would be too much of a fake out for my liking considering his dialogue unless caruefully explained.
