Yeah just for good measure, I'm likely not going to post updates for this film because I'm going to try my very best to actually avoid watching a Nolan trailer for once (for as long as I can, that is).

Watched this one, but I'm avoiding trailers the rest of the way. I couldn't be more sold.

re: Tenet | Christopher Nolan | September 3, 2020

All I know about this new trailer is that it exists. So... here you go.

The best news to me is how firm they have been at keeping their release date. Gives me great hope that it's still coming out then, even though New York hasn't announced their opening up of theaters yet. I'll totally allow somebody to tell me if the end of the trailer actually says July 17th.

We really gotta change this thread title, by the way.

No date listed, but it does say "Coming to Theaters and Special Engagements."

Damn I can’t wait. My favorite Nolan films are when you don’t know what the hell is happening

re: Tenet | Christopher Nolan | September 3, 2020

Tenet has now been pushed back two weeks to July 31st, moving one week behind Mulan.

Inception will be slotted into some theaters July 17th, in its place. Still a lot of time and capital for them to promote their new film.

Now the thread title really needs to be updated.

Delayed indefinitely.

“We will share a new 2020 release date imminently for Tenet, Christopher Nolan’s wholly original and mind-blowing feature,” said Warner Bros. chairman Toby Emmerich in a statement. “We are not treating Tenet like a traditional global day-and-date release, and our upcoming marketing and distribution plans will reflect that.”

“Our goals throughout this process have been to ensure the highest odds of success for our films while also being ready to support our theater partners with new content as soon as they could safely reopen,” Emmerich said. “We’re grateful for the support we’ve received from exhibitors and remain steadfast in our commitment to the theatrical experience around the world. Unfortunately, the pandemic continues to proliferate, causing us to reevaluate our release dates.”
