Re: [HBO/Sky] Chernobyl

This show is one of the best things I've ever seen, it's so good I don't even know what to do with myself. I'm gonna read Atomic Accidents, and listen to the companion pods. Been reading the Wikipedia page on Fukushima all day, what have they done to me.

It really is ...
The worst thing is that you know that this is a real story and you know the people who worked there after the disaster ...

Russia unhappy with the HBO show and making their own that blames the US.

My favorite comment I saw on this was, "Russia should make a series called Flint."

Re: [HBO/Sky] Chernobyl

Started and finished this whole thing today, and it was outstandingly done.

I was born two years after this and only get kibbles and bits from it (plus films that like to spin off its happening like Chernobyl Diaries and the remake of The Hills Have Eyes), but it was interesting to see how things [for the most part] actually happened, plus the scientific explanation of most things.

What I really liked about the script is that every time I asked myself a question while watching it, they eventually addressed said question. Even stupid, small things like me asking myself: "What do those dogs eat?" and they even answered that! It was kind of ludicrous that they covered it all, heh. It was also interesting that a character who notably pissed me off ended up being the portrayal of a real person and their actions.

Of course, with everything there are certain liberties to be had, one being all of them spoke English for our viewing benefit, and another being whatever they wanted to do to make things look as we might prefer to see it. I'll be interested to see what Russia intends to put out, no matter which one is more accurate in the end.

Highly recommended.

Chernobyl will long be in everyone's memory. The movie is not bad. He is an art. Although the film has a lot of facts from real events

Re: [HBO/Sky] Chernobyl

One of the things you get to do when you're home rehabbing is to watch a ton of TV and I recently just completed watching this. I was in the USAF when this occurred and remembered hearing that it was human error as the cause. The series exposed much more than I had even known.

Spectacular is all I can say regarding this mini-series deserving every piece of praises from the film industry. If you haven't yet seen it, do so, it's that good!
