Gotham City sirens would have worked much better instead of Birds of Prey imo.

Are you saying they should have made Gotham City Sirens, or this should have been called Gotham City Sirens? Because only of the Sirens was in this movie.

Anyways, they're still working on the Sirens movie. They paused production to get this one out.

Gotham City sirens should have been made instead.

If you're gonna have Harley be the star and go on a crime spree add Poison Ivy and Catwoman.

The birds of Prey hardly had much going on this film Helena was ignored a lot and they're missing Barbara Gordon as either Oracle/Batgirl.

Re: Birds of Prey (2020)

Hollyweird keeps pushing the "strong female(s)" agenda (look at latest movies). Not sure if it's guilt or just fronting something, but it's generally not working. Marvel is gonna try to do this at some point a la that segment of Endgame in the final battle. I would imagine Black Widow will do well, though.

Re: Birds of Prey (2020)

Is there a heavy load of movies released or preparing for release featuring strong female leads?

I didn't hate it. Margot is amazing as Quinn, the rest was largely forgettable I thought.

What is the strong female agenda? Is there a weak female norm?

I watch a lot of trailers and, hey, maybe it's just me, but it seems to be a trend. I dunno, almost like Hollywood is maybe trying to counter the whole Weinstein/#metoo movement? Not for this thread I know, but this movie, latest Ghostbusters, Ocean's 8, female James Bond, the latest Star Wars (and the complaints that followed), latest Terminator (and there will most likely be the reproducing what Marvel did in the comics for female versions of their cornerstone characters) seem to point to it. And sometimes it's the combination of strong female lead, coupled by idiot male partner, like in "Us". Maybe I'm wrong. Look around and see what you think. I don't think Hollywood does anything by accident. They have agendas as does any prominent entity out there.
