Probably not, unless you're really pushing the GPU but those chips arent much cheaper than the ones that have graphics built in.

Could I substitute a Ryzen CPU? One around the same price that does have onboard graphics?

EDIT: For some reason it's not letting me pick a Ryzen.

Yeah Ryzen is fine. You will have to use a different motherboard though, amd and intel motherboards are not interchangeable. I remember seeing a lot of complete builds in your price range on pcpartpicker that were ryzen based.

Ah yes. I just figured that out lol. I been looking through the completed builds. I'd love to hit no higher than $700 but with my current graphics card and Windows. I do also need a WiFi built in. So I'm thinking $800 might be more realistic. But I'm gonna keep looking.

Try to find something you can upgrade if you need to. RAM & GPU can generally be upgraded, but the CPU depends on the chipset being changed. You can go with less RAM & a lower GPU for now and upgrade if you find you need too. Just make sure that the motherboard has enough spots for RAM and can run the faster GPUs.

Re: Is this gaming computer offer good? Need help.

So after looking for days on PC part picker and shopping around to buy all the components it turns out that for what I want it was gonna come out to around a little over $800 That is with Windows 10 home.

So I went back to the guy I originally talked to, because to be perfectly honest I really don't wanna build this myself. I found him on Facebook and he does builds for people around here and doesn't have a single bad rating. So I figured if I could get him to build one with everything I want and it was around the same price I would just have him do it.

So it turns out he was able to do everything I want. Mother board is future proofed and can easily handle my GPU. I got him to upgrade me from a RX 570 to a 580 and the 8GB edition without raising the first price he quoted me. All parts are brand new with warranties, except the GPU which I think should be fine. He is giving me Windows 10 Pro, and when I added it all up in checkout on Newegg it was like $850 after taxes and shipping.

I'm getting this for $850 out the door and he's also giving me Office Pro, and Photoshop. So I think it's a pretty good deal.

I been spending a lot of time on Game Debate seeing the games I can run and how well I can run them, and I can basically run almost any game out there on 1080p high settings. So yeah, pretty excited. I think I got a good deal.

Already have a monitor, Acer XFA240. So I think that will match up well with the build.

So he's including windows 10 pro, or you're buying it from newegg?

If you're buying it, you can buy an OEM version for much cheaper. My understanding is that OEM versions are "legit" as long as the PC is being sold to a 3rd party (you).

Sounds like a good deal though. Congrats. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I

Sorry, I meant he is including it in the deal. It's OEM. And Office and Photoshop. Also the motherboard will have WiFi.

So it sounds like a good deal to me. I've had a couple people tell me its a very fair deal.

I can't wait to fire up this beast.

And I am gonna sell my laptop to offset the price on this. It's a pretty nice laptop and the last one sold for over $600 on ebay. So that's would be an excellent trade off.

I forgot to mention, he has a 30 days unconditional warranty. After 30 days he will offer free support.

So I guess that's better than buying one on ebay or Facebook.
