I really wanted to love the 2nd Fear Street movie but it came off as too much Friday The 13th mixed in with some Evil Dead. Don't get me wrong, the kills were brutal for a property that's supposed to be based off a children's book but the acting was less to be desired.

Watched Fear Street Part 1 last night. Enjoyed it for what it is. Total Scream ripoff type of film mixed in with Blair Witch lore.



So....going to see The Forever Purge tonight in the theater. First time in a theater since pre-pandemic. Looking forward to it. When I get home I am going to watch Fear Street Part 2 1978. Which will probably hit all the right retro notes for this old fart who grew up in that era.

Loved Fear Street 1978 (part 2). Really a fun romp!!!

Watching Part 3 tonight (Fear Street 1666).

A nice surprise with this Netflix Original horror trilogy. A love letter to the slasher genre!!
