Better roster management. If I have 4 RB's and 1 FB, let me make a RB a FB. It's so simple and it's an integral part of the game. Right now, the patriots are using a WR on def and the Panthers are using a FB for tailback. It happens all the time.

OK. Yeah, that's why I think they should have chip blocking routes for TE's and RB's that you can assign before the snap. Not only should the offensive tackle take on that guy, but the RB should go in and chip him too. That should buy us enough time. However, if you are facing a Dline that's really talented, then that means you are letting other guys go one on with with certain players, which could be dangerous too. Just not as dangerous as the manual DE.

If VC added even half the stuff LBzrule posted in this thread for NFL 2K6 regarding coverages, blitzing, and protections/blocking schemes, I would be drooling like a ******** kid who just won a 15-minute shopping sweepstakes prize in a big toy store for this game.

Do what LBz has mentioned, plus seriously tone down the accuracy on deep throws and intermediate throws for most QBs (i.e. all of 'em except for the true "elite" ones), and a damn near perfect football videogame could be in the works here.

I don't know if someone mentioned this already (my eyes started to bleed by about page 3...), but it would be nice if you could have one pre-snap button on offense designed to call out a "max protect" blocking scheme for your TE, RB, and all except 1 hot receiver...Sometimes I call a pass play, with a few longer-developing routes, and I realize the opponent looks like they're going to blitz me big time, so I have to manually assign "pass block" to all my receivers except 1, and it's kinda annoying (and also sometimes the playclock runs out). I don't know how many people have this issue too, but I just thought it might be a nice feature...
