This is unbeliveable, all my friends r madden whores but even admitted that Espn was good and that they would give it a try and now this, ahhh man, it was my first time getting espn this year and it looks like it would be my last, i got madden 03, fever 04 and espn 05, i was planning on getting madden 05 cause of it's on line mode, i heard it was better then espn's since i'm getting xbox live this christmas, i still like madden but i really love espn's gameplay

Re: EA Secures Rights to NFL

There's a simple solution to this. Don't buy anymore EA games, I sure as hell won't. I'll still play NFL2k5 for the next 5 years. It doesn't affect me one bit.

But you want to know who started this all, "it was SONY". They purchased the rights to all Formula 1 games for the next 5 years and hence EA canned their F1 racing series. So in effect Sony gave the idea to EA that it can be done for the right price.

It's a sad day for football gaming.

THAT is the key, right there. Sega should just make a totally customizable game and let the fans be able to create what's needed.

What's the big deal? Can't Sega just give EA a butload of money to get rights from them?

The "High Heat" strategy. It's about the only option - but keep in mind that as good as "High Heat" was, it never generated enough money to keep 3DO afloat - even after they got licensed...
