What they need to do is support user supported mods for their next generation games. They also need to be on Xbox 2 on day 1 launch. By supporting mods, (think Halflife to Counter Strike except make it for football), gamers could basically recreate the game and probably make it even better than waht we are currently playing anyway.

It's my understanding that the Next gen of consoles will support this feature. Guys will mod the game, put in all the players, names, team logos etc, and make them available for download.

Pray that the next gen does this and has some type of harddrive support.

yes that would be nice, but remember...people like us (those that visit OS, and really value sports gaming) don't represent the majority of consumers. Bottom line, if there's 2 football games out next year, one fully licensed by the NFL, and the other not...only one of them is going to sell and make a profit, and it's not hard to see which one that will be.

it is going to be really tough for vc and i hope they find a way out. I hate it that ea had to buy thier way to victory instead of actually earn it.

They also might be able to update the current game without making a new game and legally get away with it since they have the rights for this years game

EA you get scared of sega and get the nfl deal.

COngrats to us now we get the same ea game over again with a new cover.

Im exteremely pissed off. ( i dont care i know i spelt it wrong, EA BLOWS

Exactly. IF VC/TT did this, how many copies would they sell? 500? Maybe 1000?

Wouldn't this be creating a monopoly .. something even Microsoft wasn't able to do with it's Windows / Internet Explorer combination?
