That's 60 million per year. If they sell 4 million copies across all platforms every year that's $15 per game. They were probably already paying at least $5 per game as it is so the extra is less than $10 per game. The fact they dropped their price $20 due to losing market share to Sega means they will make $10 more per game when they have their monopoly.


Funny how most lawyers don't think this would win in an antitrust case but one lawyer said there is a gray area if the monopoly assumes the vast majority of market share (EA will) and for a long period of time (5 years is). This is a blatant case of using money to knock off a competitor. It will be interesting to see if VC does make a legal challenge against the NFL/EA. Even if they can stay the decision in order to make one more game would be great.
