If the EA/NFL deal really bothers you, I suggest we put the pressure on Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo to not allow Madden on their consoles for 5 years, because fewer football games will cut into their profits.

More like the other way around....Madden's one of the top selling games on every system every year. EA could use this as a barganing chip to have exclusivity on one system like a few people are talking about but the earliest that could happen is next-gen. Want an example? Look no further than the Dreamcast. I'm not saying not having EA was the main reason it failed, but you could argue it was one of them.

Yeah you're right, EA has the cards, the hardware manufacturers have no leverage at all here. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if all 3 are tripping all over themselves right now trying to bribe EA for exclusivity to their system alone or at least first rights (think GTA and how the new games always come out on PS2 first).
