And I grabbed it from GameSpy. The fact that they didn't announce a football game for showing at E3 doesn't mean that one isn't being worked on, it just means...they aren't showing anything at E3 to the general public. It COULD mean one isn't in the works but the list alone is not definite proof either way.

And basketball games hit and miss at E3 because they are late fall releases. Usually a company will show on the floor: football, baseball (the current version) and hockey. I saw NBA Live one year but it was in a closed showing and was not on the floor itself. So it's not a shock that College Hoops 2k6 is not on that list even though NBA is. I wouldn't read too mucn into that.

So, in short, this list proves nothing at the moment? While I understand that VC would need a polished, very customizable generic football game to show the masses, I'd hope they at least could show off a video of the game in action, and some custom options being picked at E3.

At the very least, for those that attend E3, ask them about updated rosters for 2K5. Maybe one just after the NFL draft, then another at the start of the new NFL season.

BTW, I wonder how Top Spin for the PS2 will port over? A great tennis game on the Xbox, with a very indepth player creation mode. The online play made it a better game for me than Virtua Tennis on the Dreamcast -but just barely. Tennis may not seem like much fun, but when you play two versus two it gets competitive and there's lots of trash-talking! Good times.
