Since it's inevitable Take2 is coming out with a football game let's try naming it!

Another good title someone came up with on another thread was:

North American Football League 2007 or NAFL2k7

I like this one very much. This way, it makes it easier to rename everything with identities that are REAL close to sounding NFL-esque without actually saying 'National Football League'. For example, the division breakdowns would look like this:

Two Divisions: the NAFLD (North American Football Division–similar to the National Football Conference) and the NAFLC (North American Football Conference–similar to the American Football Conference)

Within both there are four Regions. ('Regions' is another word for NFL Divisions) They are:

NAFLD North: Green Bay, Chicago, Minnesota, Detroit

NAFLD South: Atlanta, New Orleans, Carolina, Tampa Bay

NAFLD West: San Francisco, St. Louis, Arizona, Seattle

NAFLD East: Dallas, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Washington D.C.

…then you have…

NAFLC North: Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Cincinatti, Baltimore

NAFLC South: Tennessee, Indianapolis, Houston, Jacksonville

NAFLC West: Denver, Oakland, San Diego, Kansas City

NAFLC East: New York, New England, Miami, Buffalo

Playoff structure would be exactly like the NFL's. Here are what some of the titles would look like:

NFC Wild Card Game = NAFLD Wild Card Game

AFC Wild Card Game = NAFLC Wild Card Game

NFC Divisional Championship Game = NAFLD Regional Championship Game

AFC Divisional Championship Game = NAFLC Regional Championship Game

NFC Championship Game = NAFLD Championship Game

AFC Championship Game = NAFLC Championship Game

Super Bowl = NAFL World Title Game

I'd love to see a game but I doubt it will be a serious game. I consider myself to be a diehard real life football fan but I most likely won't buy a game with generic teams and players.

Nice work Vader, or whoever came up with that North American Football League title. It grows on you pretty quickly, and sounds so close to the NFL that you have to think a second before understanding it is generic football.

North American Football League 2K6. Yeah, I could live with that. Other than a deal with Fox Sports for "Fox Sports Football 2K6", which would fall into the whole Fox Sports family of games (Fox Sports NBA 2K6, Fox Sports NHL 2K6, etc) it seems the best name so far.
