Re: Amazing...my feelings on 2K

Whenever I play a game of 2K on 8 minute quaters, it usually takes me 2 hours to finish a game because I'm constantly replaying downs. Looking at how the play develops in awe. Its been like that since I had the game. And no matter how scripted the weekly sportscenter show is, I always religously watch as if I'm tryna make the highlight reel.

And as for watching real football on sunday afternoons, its been plenty of times last season when I would stop watching a game at halftime only to pop in 2K5.

Re: Amazing...my feelings on 2K

2K5 is a solid game and i probably logged more time playing that than Madden, but it was far from perfect.

I still think the animations and controls were a little rigid and the player models were a bit robot-like. They still had some things to work on, but it was on the right path, that's for sure.

But it sure wasn't the end-all-be-all game, nor is Madden.

can't you just let us reminisce about a game WE enjoy in peace without turning this into ANOTHER 2k vs. Madden thread!

I think it has to be a combination of both concepts fully customized players with other similarities along with the legends. They might still be able to used the faces of the players too, I remember Lavar Arrington's dead on likeness used in NFL 2K3 when he wasn't a part of the Players Association.

Well maybe in 20 years we'll have THAT game. As technology improves, obviously.
For some of us though, 2K5 is the best all around football "game" we've seen in our lifetimes up to this point, and might ever see unless we all play well into our golden years.

It's sad, I probably will be one of those.
