What do you guys think of my franchise moves (Yr 1 Cowboys):

DAL gets: Jerome Bettis (84), Ben Roethlisberger (87)
PIT gets: Anthony Thomas (83), Drew Bledsoe (84), 3rd Rd. Pick

reasoning: Wanted a power back for short yardage who could complement Julius Jones. Big Ben is a solid young QB who is a long term solution. Hate to give up a 3rd Rounder but Bettis is 84 overall and Big Ben is a beast. Yes this trade is cheap b/c Thomas, Bledsoe are probably overrated.. but Bettis does have a huge contract ($4.5mil per 2yr left) and Big Ben is overrated.

DAL gets: Roy Williams (85), 3rd Rd. Pick
DET gets: Marco Rivera (91), Quincy Morgan (75), 4th Rd. Pick

reasoning: Needed a legit #1 wideout who can stretch the field. Rivera had only 1yr left on contract and Andre Gurode (79 ovr) can step in and start. Getting rid of Quincy Morgan's fat contract ($2.5mil per) will balance out Bettis's contract. I get my 3rd Rounder back but give up a 4th.

DAL gets: Derrick Johnson (79?)
KC gets: Jacque Reeves (70), another scrub

reasoning: Johnson adds much needed speed to the defense and will start at LOLB both in the 4-3 and 3-4 defenses opposite Demarcus Ware. DJ is now reunited with former Texas Longhorn teammate Roy Williams

These moves are using noplace's rosters. Some of the ratings/contracts may be slightly off. Please rate my trades and give advice.

not a bade trade in my opinion. you have your qb and wr of the future, perhaps you will stumble upon the new era of "triplets" ..but you gotta put another OU player on there to balance the texas to oklahoma ratio on your roster =)

Yeah, those are pretty realistic.

I mean, the Steelers would probably want to trade their FRANCHISE QB for a a couple of over-the-hill players and the Lions would want to trade their best WR for an OL and a merely average WR.

Yeah, those makes sense.

2 Scrubs for D. Johnson?

Yea I say KC got shafted on that one!! and Trade #1 would never happen given how Big Ben is a marketing frenzy for the Steelers. They wouldnt take on an immoble gimp named Drew Bledsoe.

Unless you had incriminating photos of the Steelers or Lions gm's, there is no way in the world that these deals could happen in real life. But if they make the game more fun for you, by all means have at it.

Would you rather have a computer generated draft pick as your QB of the future or an actual player? I don't want to have to draft my QB and I certaintly see no reason in giving up more than necessary for Big Ben in order to make the game realistic.

Anyways these deals are all moot now b/c I restarted my franchise so I could upload the 05-06 roster.

My plan is to go after D.J. and Roy Williams but Im going to pass on the Bledsoe for Bettis deal b/c its so cheap.

Anyone know of a POWER back that I can acquire to back up Julius Jones?

T.J. Duckett maybe?
