Question about the number of plays per game?

Does anybody know the average of how many plays per game is in the NFL? I'm kinda stuck on how many minutes to set my franchise at. Thank you

Ya, that sounds about right.

5 mins for simulating(maybe even 6? that I'm not sure about yet) and about 8-9 for playing(assuming you snap the ball at around 20 seconds like the computer does), seems to get the right numbers for me.

From my research, I've concluded that the average is about 116 plays per game.

Thanks for the input. I was playing 7min. and thought maybe I should bump it up to 8 or 9min. I like a heavy running game and short passes,so that eats up clock quick. I usually do snap at 20 seconds unless I go into audible.

It depends on how you play and which version. In K4, the cpu takes it's time at the LOS. In K5, they tend to rush a little more. But if you're counting KR, PR, FG and P's....figure on closer to 65/team or 130 total.

I agree with you. For the time being,I'm using 2K4 and the CPU does take it's time more. But,since I bumped up to 8 mins. I really believe the CPU runs more. I also think the fatigue slider plays a factor in the running game. I'm kinda falling off my original thread subject I started and maybe should get a new discussion going,errr. This is a complex game and small changes can and will make a difference.
