Check out the motion capture video of Derek Jeter on IGN posted on 1/19/2006 and notice towards the middle and end of the movie in the motion capturing studio there are football helmets! Why would they have football helmets in the studio if they never again planned on making another football title? There is hope and light beyond the tunnel yet!!!

Leftovers from the NFL 2K games? Hey, I want you to be right about this, but it seems like grasping at straws. An official announcement would be much easier than this endless search for hints and clues.

I've got my sights set on the E3 show this year. If there is no football game there (in May 2006) from VC/2K Sports then it will look VERY bleak indeed.

By E3 it will be too late for EA/Madden to do much to counter a Legends football game, not that they will be looking to steal any ideas as there won't be time to include them in Madden 07. At worse EA could move the release of Madden up to late July, to lessen the window a VC football game might have to sell unopposed.

A Legends and Madden game almost sell to two different markets anyway, with hardcore VC fans and curious football gamers looking for something different versus the casual NFL gamers who just want the latest Madden roster update.

Once I watched that vid and saw the helmets I just knew there would be a thread about it. I hope they make a game but until they say they are I'm not going to get excited about it.

Although it's a hint of light, I don't think this is the end-all of the speculation. It's kinda flimsy to say "THIS IS THE REASON WHY VC WILL MAKE A GAME!"

It's a good step and something good to see in something like that.

I can see where you are all coming from..But you really think VC would leave helmets sit up there for 2 whole years?
