NFL 2K5 > Madden 07?

I thinking of saving $30 bucks and buying a used 2k5 and an Action Replay instead of getting Madden 07 b/c I'm not hearing great things about it. I have a couple of questions about 2k5.

1) With the updated (2006) rosters, can you play exhibition games or only franchise games?

2) Are there still a lot of people playing online and in online leagues?

3) Can you use updated rosters in online leagues?

1) Exhibition & franchise games work with updated rosters
2) Don't know
3) Updated rosters do not work online.

2) yes - i have my 11th season, and if you really want competition as in fantasy style play (with dollar amounts and value) look up 2k dynasty run by "ptex"

The games you mentioned have more features than madden07, so what is your point?

how can they have more features? madden 07 has updated rosters i can play online, 2k5 can't do that either, even though I wish there was a 2k7 for 360 there is not so I'll just play madden. I bought both 2k and ea games for 3 years. Both games are great and really bad in their own ways.

I don't know how anyone can judge this BEFORE they have played the game. I would say that you should rent both and then decide for yourself. No two people share the same tastes and preferences in games.
