how good would nfl 2k7 have been

I haven't seen anyone mention this when comparing 2k vs madden but I think anyone who has tried nba 2k6 for the 360 has to be impressed with how beautiful that game looks and plays. And that was a 360 launch title game, this year is looking even better.
I'm not even a big hoops fan but it was so fun to play that game.

In my opinion ea is holding back a bit with madden so that every year the graphics/animations are a bit better. Either that or ea's just not as talanted as 2k is in getting the most out of the 360. To me madden on the 360 looks like a maxed out xbox game, not true 360 quality, when comparing it to nba 2k6.

No question in my mind nfl 2k7 on the 360 would have been so much better than madden.

Well, 2K5 is still better than Madden on the 360, so I'd say yes to your comment.

Ha! Obviously. That's like saying IMO Madden doesn't have gang tackling

Well, holding back is EA's M.O. with Madden and has been for years - (er, player editing anyone???) - so I'd say yes again to your comment.

of course my friend
look at this

1.it took ea a whole system life cycle-to have REAL player faces.
2.fix the player models so they don't look like cartoon network drawings
3.attemp to have a run game (& they only half attempted)

Or poster boys for some pro-steroid campaign. Anybody get why EA does that, BTW: make their Madden player models look like that, and especially in this current anti-steroid sports climate? Weird.

I'm sure it would be better than Madden 06 (360) that isn't even in dispute.

Re: how good would nfl 2k7 have been

Since I have been disappointed so many times in video games since the days of Atari, I will take a pessimistic approach. While I am sure the game overall would be great, there likely would have been some disappointments.

1. Freezing? How many 2K games have had this problem in the last 2 years?
2. Stats were never organized well in 2k, and I am guessing that trend would have continued.
3. Who knows what else might have taken a step back like the DB play did in 2K5.

Not trying to be a pr1ck here, just trying to be realistic. I sure do miss the game, but 2K7 probably wouldn't have been the mecca that we tend to think it would have been.

Freeze problem? I've never had a problem with my game freezing (besides doing editing with Finn's editor....can't blame VC.) I also never had a problem with the stats. Those two are a non issue for me.

The DB thing on the other hand is true. I agree with you on that one.
