Wait a minute. There's a way to edit the team names in your editor? If so, can I rename the San Francisco 49ers to the Houston Texans and vice versa in order to get that team to correctly run their base defense?

Only historic teams I believe... Besides, they wouldn't change uniforms.

Re: Finn...still around?

Finn,

Is there any method to get players from one historic file into another? I have the 62 Packers in one file which I cannot upload, but need to get that data into the new 62 Packer file I created by renaming within the game.

I guess I am asking if there is anyway to export and then re-import into another file?

Thanks,

C

Damn and yeah, I know that they wouldnt change uniforms or anything. Oh well.

Can you check to see if it's possible to edit a created team's logo and uniform so I can get around the 3-4 / 4-3 defense problem that quite honestly bugs the hell out of me.

Thanks.

create a playbook name it SF,LEAVE THE 3/4 OR 4/3 OUT OF THE DEFENSIVE FORMATIONS,(the one you want in) SAVE PLAYBOOK.

THen start a user control franchise(load the playbook within the franchise)

your depth chart should be correct and any changes in the gameplan subs players(not coaches) when saved can be used for all game modes.esp exhibition play

you can make every team in the game have correct offenses and defensive formations using this method.

I did it for the Bears since they never use the shotgun.

I am still not following you... Why can't you load the 62 packer file? If it is because of the same name thing, just back up the file the is causing the problem on your computer and delete it from your xbox. Load the 62 packer file with the name problem and rename it in game.

Finn,

Sent you a pm yesterday detailing the issue, but basically I am at the point where I did rename the 66 Packer file in the game to 62 Packers. Copied that to my computer. Loaded it up and changed name in your editor to 62 Packers. So far so good.

I then had the issue of trying to get the original (bad) 62 Packer file I had imported into the new 62 Packer file, which at this point actually had 66 Packers players. I figured that out by right clicking on name and exporting. I then imported the 62 team back into the new 62 file. I am going to try to load it this morning to see if it works. In theory, it should.

I do have one player in the file with just a first name, and the last name field is grayed out...cannot be edited. I am not sure if this will cause a problem with the file, and there does not seem to be anyway to delete him from the file in your editor. I think if I try to bring the team up in the in game editor it will freeze the game because of this.

Any thoughts on that one? I'll let you know if the new 62 Packer file loads up this morning.

Was hoping you could take any existing previously edited historic file, read it into your computer, rename the players and team and save as a new historic team, but you can't. If you do, you run into the problem I have had. You have to rename the historic team in the game itself, then edit that file in your editor. Any way to do it the way I suggested? What type of mod would that take on your part to the editor?

Thanks,

C
