Best thing about 2k5 was the customizable stadium music. I pray it is in APF 2k8

Yes, I think this is what bugged me the most about the whole license thing. Wondering what the game could have become. For example Berman's halftime, postgame and weekly wrap up shows. They were great in 2K4, better in 2K5, but still had room to grow.

For anyone that played Choops 2K6 or 2K7 and saw the 20 minute selection sunday show, just imagine what they could have done with an NFL Playoffs preview.

Loved the halftime highlights of the game you were playing.

Agreed I really miss that stuff.

Re: Why NFL 2k5 was special!!!

so why isn't this BC yet?

It's exclusion looks even worse now that NFL Fever 2004 is in the latest BC update. I assume that game falls under the same NFL license rules that this one does.

There are many Sports games I wish were BC.....Some of the Tiger Woods games...NASCAR 2005...MVP 05 or MVP NCAA 06...etc...wish some of those older sports games would become BC

NFL2k5, really, isn't THAT special....

It was a great game. But Special???

It had it's fair share of problems.

What I do think was special was the DIRECTION it was going until they couldn't use the license anymore. It definitely had a raw feeling of the game of football....

I compare it like this (and I am a HUGE NFL fan)

Madden was like GOING to a football game...It is good...but for the most part, kind of a yawner (Until a play that means something)

NFL2k was like watching a great broadcast of the game...NFL2k5 got you HYPED to play it.

Err...isn't this whole thing subjective and not objective.... let the guy emote. It's all relative.

Well for me it was the best football game I ever played.

That is special.

Ditto. Hands down.

Someone said it early: the strides it continued to make was the reason that NFL deal really sucked. In a 6 year period, the 2K team overtook a 15 year giant in many facets of the game.

In my opinion: it looked and played better and just so many little features that EA has YET to implement! I still love the fact I can see play by play replays in the game. Madden had in-game saves but I could completely relive big plays in memorable game and show friends everything. I don't have to describe anything - just show him. I'm confidence APF will have one feature that will make people take notice. 2K5 did SO many little innovative things and that's what made it special in my eye.
