You don't need a HDTV to play the 360.. Having a HDTV will just enhance the visuals.. & the majority are buying HDTV's over Standard TV's.. At least at the BB I work in.. I been there 2 yrs... & 75% of the customers that buy a TV it is HD.. When I first worked there I'd say the split was 60/40 infavor of non HDTV's..

I like alot of the responses...but you guys are losing the fact.

Fact is Madden 07 on 360 looks great graphically....and no 2k5 can't beat it.

But, with the comparison! We were asking? Is Madden truly giving us Next-Gen.

Because 2k5 on current Xbox has similar style graphics in the photos as far as graphics. Meaning...can't EA do better than what they are doing. 2k gave us Next Gen like graphics on a current gen system.

So are we truly getting a next-gen experience from EA....

And Pared I know the pics sucked....don't know whats up with my camera...sometimes the pics come out great and other times its jacked up and dark...


I'll have more later, that show better...got to get the lighting in that room right....I'm playing the games on a 60" Panasonic....and its projection HD...

BTS, you're taking the pictures too close to the TV. That's why scanlines are appearing.

Take a step back and those should disappear.

Madden still looks like crap. The only reason it somewhat looks good is because the camera is zoomed in but if you play in the normal view, the game looks like crap. 2K5 surpasses Madden next gen in every aspect graphically except for the stadiums. The player models in 2K5 blow away Madden, especially the faces. Every player's face in Madden look alike or arent even close to who they should be representing.

Sorry, but Madden's strength has never been nor will it ever be graphics (or gameplay or commentary or presentation or player models or controls or fun or realism, etc.). Madden's only strength was the depth it had in franchise mode but considering that EA is simply "re-introducing" everything in next gen year by year, that strength is pretty much gone as well.

As for the pics, I dont think that Madden looks like next gen especially if you play Gears Of War. 2K5 doesnt look like next gen either (obviously) but still looks better than Madden ever will.

2K8 > Madden next gen.

Just to stir up the question again... when will folks stop saying "next-gen" since we're in the gen now and have been for 2 calendar years? Will we be saying it still when the PS4 and XBOX 720 are released? And because of it, will we call those new systems "NEXT-next gen"?

Just curious, lol...
