How great is this game? Good enough to...

...get me to buy a BACKUP used Xbox from GS today.

I'm really into this game again and am working on getting an AR so I can get the roster updates here....but I also wanted to go ahead and get another Xbox to back up mine so I can enjoy this game (and a few others that aren't backwards compat. to my 360, or just don't play well on emulation) for years to come. Let's all pray that when the NFL license with EA expires in '09 that 2K can get it back...and hopefully ESPN as well!!

Now I'm to get an AR right away so I can get current and get a real franchise going. I ordered one thru codejunkies.com, and will check my order tomorrow (they said it should come in this week).

I'm doing a franchise with the 'stock' rosters and schedules now and it's really amusing (and distracting) to be using all these players that aren't with the Seahawks anymore.

So glad I found this place at google...this is a great community!

2k doesn't really need ESPN, but I definitely agree with you on everything else.

A 2k NFL game with APF graphics... I'm trying not to drool right now.

Oh, I really love the SC implementation. 2K actually USED the ESPN license for more than just a damn ticker.

Until 2K can get the license back (IF they can), I need to make sure I've got a working console to play 2K5 on for the next couple of years at least; hence the spare.

Well, even without ESPN, 2k's going to put the best presentation out there they can. They don't really need the ESPN license in that way.

Plus it probably costs them money which I would rather TT and 2k not have to deal with due to the whole financial things at TT.

As long as they don't replace Dan and Peter with any of the Fox announcers...........I can't stand Tony Sirigusa's (SP) voice sometimes because he annoyingly just chimes in out of nowhere for no reason a lot of times....

I feel like a dope but I just did the same thing. I started with 20 bucks on a poker/sports book site and I finally got to 120 today..I then played 4 games w/puja's rosters and wow this game is so much better than anything put out in the past 3 years it is pathetic!!

I loved when 2K had ESPN presentation, the glory days of 2K IMO, even though it was then called ESPN Videogames.
