If you ask 10 people this question, you will get 10 different answers.

It really depends on your ability gameplay wise. The sliders should be different if you are a Coach mode player vs a control the players guy. Also, we all have different levels of ability and use different roster sets, so it is impossible to come up with one set of sliders to satisfy all.

Your best bet is to start with a set and adjust to your own ability and liking. I know that sounds like a copout, but it's true. What works for me may not for you, and vice versa.

If someone tells you that have the perfect slider set, understand that it is perfect for their ability, style of play, and expectations.

My answer -

For both CPU and User: All O sliders (except Blocking) UP, and all D sliders (except Coverage) DOWN. Where you put them exactly is up to you.

Also for kicking: CPU slider @ 0 and User slider maxed. The CPU has a huge kicking advantage in this game.

Re: Anyone play with all sliders zeroed out?

try these

Gamespeed - Slow
Quarter length - 7 or 8 min
Performance EQ - ON

Human
ALL - 0
Except fatigue - 24

Computer
Block - 0
Pass - 40
Run - 0
Catch - 0
Coverage - 0
Pursuit - 15
Tackling - 15
Kick - 2
Fatigue - 10

Injury - 20
Fumble - 24
INT - 40 (This is important since it effects how the DB makes a break on ball. will cause less dumb Db errors, read entire post and make adjustments then try)

Penalities
ALL 40
Holding - 30
Clippsing - 25
Roughing the kicker - 32
Ineligible WR - 32

IN/OUT Sub - 85% - 90%

ROSTER ADJUSTMENTS!!!! *** required with slider set

1) Change ONLY YOUR defensive player catch ratings(This reduces PLAYER INTs)

Catch rating
All DL - 0
All Starting LBs - 2, ALL backup LBs - 1
All Starting CBs - 4, All backups CBs - 3
Startings SS and FS - 4
Backup SS and FS - 3

2) Change ALL of the QBs in the NFL. Pass read coverage and Consistency(CPU QBs make better throws and reads)

Pass Read coverage and Consistency
at 90-100 ADD +5
at 80-89 ADD +7
at 70-79 ADD +10
ALL pass read or consistency lower than 70 gets placed at minimum of 70

3) Change all QBs speed rating in NFL (Reduces to much running by Qb's)

Speed Rating
LOWER all by 10 points

ENJOY guys I just had to really good games today, and had tommy maddox light me up for 350 yards 2 Tds and 1 INT.

Lowering speeds AND playing on the slow setting? Not sure what that's looking like. What are your fastest players 40 times?

Hey FLY not sure if you were refering to mine but i will answer anyway.

I created these for the DEFAULT rosters. I also ran it on "slow" speed because i hated the speed bump the animations got on "fast".

Game on "Fast" would be much closer to the real NFL speed but it was just my own personal preference, but any speed could be used.

I also tore apart the game at that time. The Fatigue slider also works on the speed contrast between the CPU and HUM. This fatigue setting for both put them on even terms.

These are still the sliders I been using for 3 years now. Also back when the game released it was what most of the community of using. I got big praise for these. I still have PM's in my inbox from people that loved these.

Now with the new rosters I have no clue how these would hold up. But I know for a fact with default rosters these will play VERY good.
