Can someone please explain the differences between the Xport and Xsata?

It's sad that Microsoft didnt just make sure that the HD would be compatible with both Xbox games and Xbox 360 games. It would be a lot easier to just take the Action Replay memory card for original Xbox games, put it in the slot on 360 and then just transfer the saves from the AR mc to the 360 HD. Ugh.

I believe with the XSATA it needs to be connected to your 360 to work. So to transfer files you would have to move your whole 360 to your computer and plug it in. (I don't have this one but I'm 90% sure.)

XPORT is stand alone and draws all the power it needs from the USB cable. It also comes with an adapter to transfer original XBOX games via an original XBOX memeory card.

Basically, Xport is to 360 what Action Replay is to us original Xbox owners, correct? It's the middle man between the console and the PC so to speak.

So is Xport the best thing to use to upload the new rosters? Or should I go for the Xsata or whatever????

I have a 360, but no old xbox. And my 360 sits next to my PC...

????????????????????

Re: After all this time...disappointed

I used an Xport to get Puja's 11/21 rosters.....took me a long time....basically, I'm blindly putting files in the partition 3 section of the hard drive....the instructions seem straight forward but gets very confusing.....Part of the problem is finding the actual game if you have a lot of game saves on your hard drive. It's a lot easier copying files from the Xport to a 360 memory card.....Anyways, I played the Raiders versus the Steelers in the rain this morning.....Raiders dominated and Fargas tore it up....obviously I need to adjust my sliders. So happy to play 2K5 on the 360....
