Guys Listen

One of the posters earlier said you could you the transfer cable that comes with the 120gb. He is absolutely correct. So if any of you have it just download 360 explorer and use the cable works just like an Xport or Xsata

Re: Guys Listen

i just asked about this in another thread; fredropro, can you use it more than once with your pc and can it be used with the 20gb hdd? my console just got shipped back from being repaired. i called to ask if a transfer cable could be purchased (in the event that it can be used with the 20 gb hdd) and the CSR said they will send me one free. so i am wondering if this cable will work with my 20 gb. anyone know?

thanks
pete

It doesn't come with the Elite, you are looking at the HDMI cable.

I have an Elite, it never came with the cable. You had to call MS to get one.

Where in the article do they say that it came with the 360 since I didn't read that?

One of the questions you may have had about the black Elite version of the Xbox 360 we saw yesterday was how in the hell were you going to get your game saves and downloaded content onto the new 120GB hard drive? Would you have to use memory card and copy stuff 64/512MB at a time? Nope, because the new drive is going to come with a transfer cable.

According to Ben "Bones" Kuchera at Ars Technica, Microsoft's told game distributors that data from your existing hard drive can be transferred to the new one via a cable that comes with the kit. Unless someone else comes up with another logical way to transfer data from one Xbox 360 hard drive to another, this cable seems like a sure bet. – Jason Chen
