ERROR: cannot open file "". sysyem cant find the path specified

I've tried re-installing the editor and opened different roster files but I keep getting that message. FINN... HELP!

It means the rosters are no longer in the directory you are trying to open in. Try to search for your rosters using the search function...maybe that may help.

how are you trying to open them?

are you browsing to their location after clicking the "folder icon" (open)?

or are you using the "recently accessed files" list under the "file" menu in the Finn Editor toolbar?

if it's the second one, then rumfinator's suggestion may still apply

The editor has to be able to create files in the program files folder (extract the contents of the gamesave zip). If it doesn't have rights to do so, it will fail.
