Question Coryell Offense

Anyone know any good playbooks I could run this offense with?

Re: Coryell Offense

The Chargers playbook.

Norv Turner is probably the biggest current user of the Coryell offense and installed it in SD during his previous stint with the Chargers. Even after he left, Cam Cameron kept the system in place for the Chargers. The SD playbook in 2k5 is based off of what Turner put in place.

Re: Coryell Offense

Don Coryell was known for throwning the ball... a lot. Unlike the run and shoot, he used two backs in the backfield most of the time and unlike the west coast offense, there was a lot more throwing down the field on post and streak patterns.

Fouts liked to throw to Winslow a lot. Sort of like the Chiefs, except the WRs were both All-Pro caliber and the back-ups were no slouches either.

Re: Coryell Offense

Ah... so I see. Throw deep, run with power. That's basically the way I play the Chiefs except I my run/pass ratio is about 50/50. Thanks, I love a good history lesson.
