Finn's Editor Help

Hi,

I just downloaded Finn's editor and changed the user control on a Franchise save, but whenever I try to save I get an error message that says the editor has experienced a problem and is closing. Does anyone know why this would happen? I am using Vista if that makes a difference. Thanks.

Try transferring the file again. Start over with a new file. The one you have may have been corrupted somehow.

Re: Finn's Editor Help

I have tried multiple times with different franchise files and different copies of the same files. I also have uninstalled and reinstalled the editor itself, but none of those things have worked. Thanks though.

The editor needs to be installed/run with administrator rights in Vista because it drops files in the System32 folder and reads/writes files to the Program Files folder.

Finn, I can take the install exe and run as administrator, but it does not have an option to run as administrator...or at least I can't find it. Any ideas?

EDIT: I just ran the install exe as administrator and that seems to taken care of the problem.

Re: Finn's Editor Help

Even when I install and run the .exe as the admin I get the error. I don't know, maybe it is something with my computer. I may have to try it out on a different one.

Re: Finn's Editor Help

Okay I got it to work.

I installed by running the install.exe as an administrator, then I went to to NFL2k5Editor.exe in the program files and set the compatibility mode to Windows 2000. In order to open the file to edit you must drag the file to the window, going file>open just closes the program. Thanks for all your help.
