DWEvans, you just made a huge contribution (im confident finn will solve this).. moreso though if he can specifically alter the game's "signed order" for PR depth chart via a hidden indicator, then we will feasibly be able to pick not only the PR, but specific players to BACKUP the PR... something we couldnt ever do prior

WOW!!! That would be great for everyone. Personally, I still think that VC changing the depth chart to what it is from what it was in 2K3/2K4 is the reason why the kick/punt returners get screwed up and why the CPU changes everything after week one in franchise.

I remember releasing and assigning every player in 2K3 and never had this problem whatsoever which makes me believe that its because of the crappy depth chart.

Not sure how it was in previous versions but the depth chart is weird in 2k5. It is stored in the player data rather then the team data which I found odd and is why I struggled finding it at first.

When I think about this stuff, I always picture something like looking at the "Matrix" code. I see nothing but symbols scrolling down a screen and you guys see team data, player data, etc.

When I was in 7th grade, I wrote a program that made a pair of dice roll and create random numbers on an Apple II. That is the extent of my experience. I would have just as much luck performing invasive surgury.

no problem guys, though it would seem Finn had already discovered it without realising by programming the list into his editor!
