Returning 2k5er...please get me up to speed for default rosters

Hey guys. I plan to play with some of the new rosters after I get all the neccessary hardware but for now, I want to play a season or two of franchise with default rosters. So can you get me up to speed on changes/strategies I need to use to get the best default roster experience possible? Just curious if someone can sythesize the best practices we have gleaned from everyone's theories on how to improve the game. Again, I don't have the transfer cable yet so I have to do everything manually.

For example:

1. Ratings changes--do I need to make them? I read about aggression for example. Which formula should I use. Can you make global edits w/o finn's editor? What else do I change.

2. Draft workaround--what positions do I have to chose to make sure the AI drafts correctly.

3. DB play--what do I have to change? Just ratings? And which ones.

4. Sliders--zero sliders or something else?

5. What house rules should I follow to not abuse AI? I've seen a few; which ones do I use?

6. CAP limit-- what is it?

There are a few updated rosters in the roster room and for great sliders and better gameplay go into the sliders room.

Thanks. I did read that but, again, I am still waiting on a transfer kit to do all of that so I was wondering what I could adjust manually with default rosters until I get the kit to get the best game play possible. Any comments on that?
