help with catching the ball

i have the catch slider all the way up and i still have guys dropping open passes all over......winslow should be dropping pass after pass when he is clearly open.......its one thing to have drops when the defender jars the ball loose, but these are open passes

i hit y to take control and y to make the catch.....but im not sure if im doing something wrong.......any help?

Press the B button after you pass the ball with your QB as that will switch over to the receiver. Then, press Y when the ball is near you in order to catch it.

oops, i typed that wrong.....i do hit B to switch and Y to catch

it almost feels like the way you hit the Y button determines if and how u will catch it

Try Maximum Passing if you're still having difficulties completing passes....

i use max passing......its not the throwing part that is the problem, its the catching part

Remember Winslow was a rookie then. Maybe check his ratings; I had to bump them up, and on my edited player Edwards...( I'm using the Browns franchise) and bumped their attributes/ratings to:
catching ability----96 Edwards, 98 Winslow.(Winslow was previously like an 80 or something)
Speed------95 Edwards, 95 Winslow.
And so forth...

Now, both players pretty much catch anything thrown their way, except of course if they're double covered or whatever.

I'm playing on PS3, but it's probably a similar procedure....

^i think he's playing w/ updated rosters based on some other posts of his i saw

also 96 CTH for Braylon "20 drops" Edwards? j/king but he is very TO-like in that way... drop the sure thing & catch the impossible

Just updated some of the Browns players myself;not using updated rosters.
After watching yesterday's debacle, I may have to lower Edwards catch ability.....lol.....
