CAP Question....Please answer

I just picked up an xsata so i can edit some things in my franchise with finns editor. Does anyone know if you can edit the slary cap limit to free up some money that your allowed to spend. Today the salary cap is alot bigger than it was 4 years ago and i would like to match that. Is this possible? i downloaded flyin finns 2k5 editor but did not see the option listed anywhere???

Re: CAP Question....Please answer

I have another cap question for all the editors out there.

According to askthecommish.com - "For 2008, the cap is $116,729,000".

- First of all, is this true??

I looked at NFL.com and couldn't find it, so I googled "NFL salary cap", and it pointed me to this.

- Second, what benefit would we get out of applying this figure to our franchise files using Finn's??

example - I am using GR18's franchise and the cap is set to $90.50mil. All of the teams seem to have an ample amount of room left in the cap with it at 90.5, but there are a few teams who are close to the cap.

If I set it to what that site says at 116.729mil., would I just be encouraging the cpu to make a buch of retarted signings and trades because a few teams would go up to like 40-50mil. in cap room???

Get back to me all you geniuses.

well, if you set the actual player contracts salaries correct (which i will be doing in my roster), then:
1) teams wont have tons of cap room
2) the players minimum "wants threshold" will now be set at their new contract, so they wont sign small deals

Ahhh, it didn't occur to me that the player's salaries were probably not accurate. That would make sense now wouldn't it.

You really are a genius. (Or maybe you just pay more attention than I do!)

Thanks puja.
