Anybody else notice their center's can't pass block?

Casey Weigman in the default roster is 92 PASS and a 95 CON and yet every time some jobber of a DT lines up on him straight he can't contain them for more than 1.5 seconds and I get sacked. Anybody else have this problem?

Never seen that before. Jeff Mitchell is rated lower than him and he always gets a good pass block. Maybe it is strength issues, but strength would just push the guy back... so I do not know. I just tried it with the Chiefs in practice mode... the center blocks fine.

It definitely could be strength issue. If the NT he's going against is stronger than he is, then most likely he won't be able to hold him off for long.

This game is all about realism, unlike Madden.

What settings do you guys play on? I play on Legend with kicking and catching turned up.

Your bringing any difficulty on yourself if your playing on legend

are you sure it's not related to the play call? i know some for plays blocking schemes just "dont work" (either against a specific defensive call or just in general)

I looked it up in Finn's editor. Jeff Mitch was an 85 in strength.

...I think. I looked it up tow days ago.

Can't quite say if it's the Play's blocking or not. Maybe it is. Maybe it ain't. I've tried this scenario out in Scrimmage mode and the blocking is rarely the same. The only consistency is when Weigman is one-on-one with a NT he loses real fast.

But hell, I pushed up Weigman's STR to 60 and downed his RUN but 4 to keep his OVR the same. It's made it a little better.

Made me think that 60 might be the minimum for an effective Center. As tackles and guards with STR rated at 59, which there are both on my Chiefs roster, don't have this problem.
